The BAFGC Convention & Canadian Black Screen Awards 2026 is a premier Black History Month program celebrating Black excellence across film, television, music, media, and the creative industries. The convention brings together creatives, industry professionals, community leaders, and emerging talent through curated panels, conversations, networking, and cultural engagement, while the CBS Awards honour outstanding achievements and impactful contributions shaping Canada’s creative landscape.
n partnership with the Black Empowerment Unit (BEU), in association with the Toronto Black Film Festival (TBFF), presented by True Sail Production Inc., and supported by Chazz Financial Inc., the 2026 program fosters visibility, connection, and opportunity—highlighting talent, leadership, and innovation while strengthening community and industry pathways for Black creatives nationwide.
